Get Your White Back!

I myself love white clothes/shoes. However because of my lack of care and the colour's vulnerability to get easily stained most of my clothes and shoes are marked up with stains and other sorts of marks. Of course I was choked and I thought I couldn't do anything about it until I saw a post in Pinterest. I don't specifically remember where I saw it from but I'm here to show you lovelies on how to get your white colour back on your clothes, shoes, bags and even your teeth.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED...
-your item of choice that you want to clean (in this case I grabbed my Nike Free Run 1.0).
-baking soda
-hydrogen peroxide
-a mini towel
-tooth brush or cloth if you prefer
-a container to mix the hydrogen and baking soda together

Pour the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide in the container.
You want to have a 2:1 ratio of baking soda to hydrogen peroxide only because to get that pasty-like texture.
Once you get the pasty/thick enough texture go ahead and start scrubbing/brushing!

I chose my Nike Free Runs because they are the dirtiest thing I own for a pair of shoes.
Not even my white converse or my keds are dirty(AND THEY'RE ALL WHITE).
Be patient with cleaning, it does take a while but this is the safest way to clean your shoes/clothes.
Why?
You don't want to throw your shoes in the washing machine because the machine will damage your shoes and stretch it out. Basically it won't be the same.
I know some people say use bleach but that is a no no! Bleach is a very strong chemical which can burn your skin if not handled with care. If you're clumsy like me then hydrogen peroxide and baking soda is the way to go. (yes hydrogen peroxide can cause some skin irritation such as dermatitis but that's only if you use it too much[like everyday]).
The antiseptic property of hydrogen peroxide makes a good cleaning agent that reacts well with the sodium bicarbonate(aka Baking Soda!)

Here are the final results!
I wished I took a before and after but the first picture you can tell the stains are gone!
After I scrubbed them clean I took a cloth and soaked it in hot water with anti-bacterial soap then wiped down my Nike Free Runs to get rid of excess baking powder and to get rid of some germs/tough grease marks.

Here are the close up for my shoes.
I took these pictures outside on my balcony just so I have better lighting since my camera doesn't have great quality!

For clothes: Let's be real people we all have that one shirt with yellow stains at the armpit before we knew we could prevent that. I own a few shirts back in the day that have stains in the armpit area and I found it so annoying because I could never wear them again. Bet you didn't know there was a way to remove it! Basically what you do is make the same mixture: Baking Soda + Hydrogen Peroxide with a little bit of water. Grab a big hand brush like:
(Bad quality, I tried to find a better one! THIS IS NOT MY PICTURE).
After you're done scrubbing the hell out of that armpit area soak it in water then AIR DRY! After that you have your favourite white tee back!
(you can use this method on your bags/bottoms!)

For teeth: Who doesn't want white pearly teeth? I'm sure everyone wants them but doesn't have the money to splurge on those expensive whitening teeth pens or the Crest 3D whitening trio products! Well now you don't have to splurge because you can whiten your teeth with hydrogen peroxide and baking soda! What you will need to do is get a small container and add your favourite minty toothpaste, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Mix well so that the consistency is like a tooth paste and brush your teeth!
You can also purchase those mouth guards and put the paste in their and set it in your teeth! Whatever works best for you!
(NOT MY PICTURE)
-Mouth guards: ~$4
-Hydrogen Peroxide Full Bottle: ~$8
-Baking Soda: ~$1
Crest 3D Whitening Trio Pack(tooth paste, mouth wash, whitening strips: $100+)
Save your money people! Spend it on better things ;)!
[Although I can't say I don't have these products, they work well too!]

For nails: If you enjoy getting your nails done and you do it more than twice a month then you will start to notice your nails going yellow. It's because of the chemicals from the nail polish and nail polish remover eating away at your nails. A simple way to brighten those yellow tip nails is make the paste like mixture and apply a good amount of the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda on the tip of your nails or all over your nail depending which part is yellow. (Make sure you're covering it!)
(NOT MY PICTURE)

I hope you all enjoyed this tip!
Let me know if you lovelies know other ways to whiten or your experiences with using this method!
(next post: nail care!)
Later Days lovelies.

SHORT HUR. DON'T CUR.

Lately I've gotten a lot of comments on my hair. Majority of the comments I would get in a day were
  • "wow your hair is so long!"
  • "your hair looks amazing!"
  • "dang your hair is so long!"
Along with the comments/compliments were followed up with questions such as
  1. How long have you been growing it?
  2. Doesn't it get in the way?
  3. Are you planning to cut it? If so are you going to donate your hair to help those who have Cancer?
I want to make a post on how long I've been growing my hair and basically the background of me growing it. 1) I have been growing my hair ever since JULY 3, 2014. So a little more than a year. This is what I looked like.
(I got the date from the properties of this image)
On this day I got a haircut as well.
I have been growing my hair before this haircut image ever since last summer as well!
(IT WAS REALLY LONG).

Before my recent cut JULY 18, 2014 this is what my hair looked like!
I honestly didn't know I was growing my hair this long!
Even I'm astonished!
(Too bad I had no talent with my hands to utilize all this hair! LOL).

AND THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE NOW!!

It's much shorter than this actually so here's an actual pic
Yeah that's how much they cut off!
Keep in mind all the hair they cut off without the ponytail ;)

2) YES! My hair was always in the way! I hated it! When it reached passed my chest I was constantly tying my hair up in high ponytails or ridiculously messy buns! Honestly I should be used to it because this isn't my first time growing my hair that long!
I KID YOU NOT, back in elementary my mum forced me to grow my hair long to donate to the Cancer foundation for those patients who have lost their hair so they can make a wig! At first I was reluctant because growing your hair is such a pain the butt! However I pulled through and my hair actually reached my calves! I cut my hair for Confirmation(that was in grade 7). So technically I was growing my hair back then for at least 7 years(8 if you include pre-k). I am kind of fed up with long hair so I might just stick with my current length right now. Some people say it's too short but I mean, if you like it, rock it! It's you who is going to be in that lifestyle. Don't appeal to others, only to yourself.

3) As you can tell with the picture above, yes I am donating my hair to the Cancer foundation again! When the lady asked me if I was going to donate it I said yeah! (Initially I wasn't going to but then my mum the day before I told her I was going to cut my hair told me to bring it home so we can donate it again!).

Anyways I am loving my hair right now! The only downfall it's still not long enough to curl, but it'll get there :)! Hope you enjoyed this post about my hair.
At first I wasn't going to do anything or post anything about my hair but this is the first time I've had short hair in 4 years? I thought it was pretty significant. Well... to me!

Anyways reese's peaces<3

Make Up Powder Fix!

Over the weekend while I was getting ready I had the greatest luck ever... because this happened.
As I was getting ready I grabbed my bronzer and it slipped from my hands and fell to the ground. It shattered and I was so devastated. At first I was thinking of leaving it like this but then I remember there is a method to fix broken powder and I just want to share with all of you lovelies who don't know this wonderful method. I found this method through a friend who saw the video from Michelle Phan! Here is the link
You will need...
-Your broken powder
-Spoon
-Knife(I'm using a plastic palette knife)
-Piece of napkin
-Rubbing Alcohol
-Plastic wrap.

You wanna use the plastic wrap to wrap around the powder's case.
This will prevent any loose powders from spilling and will save you the hassle of cleaning up.

I decided to film for the rest of the steps!
Song: Growing Up - Fracture Design
After you have wrapped your powder around plastic get your spoon and start breaking your powder even more.
After you think you've done enough mashing, unravel the plastic.
Pour enough alcohol to the mashed up powder. Make sure you put enough.
Mix it gently with your knife(I'm using a plastic palette knife).
When you get the nice thick consistency start smoothing it out.
When you're finished cover it with a napkin.
Place in the fridge to help it harden.

china glaze - I'm Not Lion (ring fingers)

Hope you all enjoyed this post =)!
I'll post the finished results tomorrow!

Mini Purchase!

I'm sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately. As you know I was in exam mode however I am completely done with this semester so technically my summer officially starts now! (Until summer semester starts). Anyways with all this free time I'm going to catch up on some blogging and of course catch up on all the fun my friends and I had to miss because of school! Hazah!
A week ago I went to my local market and decided to give into my impulsive need to purchase things. Here are the few goodies I picked up. It's nothing big really!
After reading and hearing a bunch of reviews/raves about this product I decided to give it a try!
Although I was a bit skeptical on this product because of the price and it was from the Fit Me collection
But now I absolutely adore this product, it's now in my daily make-up routine!
I definitely will do a review on this one!

Again this one another product that was being raved about and I thought why not.
I haven't actually tried this yet, but I'm excited to!
I always like Rimmel London products. It's always so cheap and the quality is there!

I ran out of my Nivea toner that I use in the morning so I thought maybe to try something new.
I always hear great things about Garnier, mostly because they're so pro-organic and earth friendly!
Natural things are good for your body, so why not?
I have used this toner and I'll include it in a review :)!

I needed to restock on my razors!
Ever since my brother's girlfriend told me to use men's razors I have loved it!
They're less expensive and the Hydro 5 razor blades doesn't give me razor burns!
Even though hydro is in the name, it does moisturize and keep my legs smooth!
Definitely go pick this up instead of Venus or Intuition!
I didn't buy that much because I didn't see anything worth buying mostly because I wasn't interested and I wanted to save my money for something else :)!
Hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know what you guys thought :D!
Cheerio my lovelies~

March Favourites!

Seriously where are the days going? One minute it's March now it is April! Well since it's April you know what that means... March Favourites!
This post is another short one only because I barely used any new products! This monthly favourites are a bit diverse because most of these items rarely fall under beauty, but that's okay! Your favourite things don't have to be beauty. It could be food, clothes, drinks, shows etc.
St.Ives Green Tea Scrub - $8
St.Ives Green Tea Cleanser - $6
As mentioned in my review for these two products they are the absolute bomb dot com.
They smell so heavenly, they get rid of acne and redness, also they are pretty cheap!
St.Ives' products will always be my favourites!
I'm enjoying their combination together! It works well on my skin leaving it feeling fresh and clean!

Glysomed Hand Cream - $2
I owned this for a long time actually and I'm just starting to use it again.
I got this when it was on sale. I thought it would be great to try it out since most of my friends recommended it to me.
I'm starting to re-love this product! The way it feels on my hand is incredibly soft and makes me want to rub my hands together all day! LOL.
It doesn't really have a scent, although my brother begs to differ.
I just love the way it feels and besides nobody wants to have dry hands!

Multi-Diamond Circle Earrings from Ardenes - (part of  the 3 for $10)
I find myself wearing these every time I go out!
I just love the way it looks and the fact that it's multi-diamond gives it an elegant look to it!
Super easy to pair it with any of my outfits and doesn't stand out too much when I tie my hair in a pony tail or bun.

Green Plaid - AEO $16
This is basically my go to cover on/cardigan whatever you want to call it!
I know this isn't really a cardigan but I wear it like it is one.
It's starting to get a tad bit warmer and I really like to wear something light and this is what I settle for.
I remember the first time I saw this I had to buy it.
It pretty much finds its way to be part of my outfits here and then!
I probably wore this over 20x in the month of March!

Have A Nice Day Planner/Journal - Gift
I was cleaning out my drawer and I found this.
This was given to me on one of my birthdays from Michelle D and Patrick I believe. I may be wrong though.
When I found this I thought to myself: "maybe its a good idea to write things down."
I was really disorganized in the week that I found this journal and ever since I've written in it I became organized and a lot more enthusiastic about school.
(to be quite honest this semester totally sucks and I'm not doing well in it but I'm getting back on my feet).
I'm carrying this journal everywhere I go and I write all my ideas in it!
Despite its obnoxious smiley faces plastered in each page and of course the cover I kind of like it.
Reminds me that I should still smile, no matter what. (I know, cheesy eh?).

All Bran Honey Nut Bar - Superstore $9(pack of 24)
I have literally been munching on these ever since I got it!
It's so delicious and it's healthy for you which makes it a bonus!
I absolutely adore the "All Bran" line from Kellogg's.
Oh and I guess fibre is cool too. I mean a healthy colon is a happy person... Right?

I saved my absolute favourite for last!
Ever since I finished playing Stick of Truth I find myself watching South Park episodes.
Doesn't matter if I watched the episode 10x or 20x, to me it never gets old.
Gosh, bless Trey and Matt for making this show.
I love how they don't have a limitation on what they make fun of.
That's what makes the show genuine and awesome.
I hope y'all enjoyed this post!
I know it's doesn't focus on beauty but really I didn't have time to try out the new things I bought!
Hopefully some of the products that I bought last month will make it to my April Favourites!
Till next time lovelies

St.Ives Green Tea Duo REVIEW!

I feel really bad in doing this review first rather than following the order of the list I gave in my Liebster Award post. It's just I seriously won't be able to go on my blog until Wednesday and I just want to be able to give something before I become MIA'ing again! Besides I really want to go into full detail for "How To Make An Outfit Stylish" and "Confidence!" posts.
I thought I'd take a break from writing my English research paper! I'm actually doing really well on progress considering I'm 637 words out of 1500! I decided instead of looking at how many words I need, I look at how many words I accomplished! I just had this weird insight or epiphany that if you want life to get better you got to start acting better.
Anyways on-wards to the review :)!

Left: St. Ives Green Tea Cleanser
Right: St.Ives Green Tea Scrub

I like to call this the ultimate duo in fighting acne and controlling break outs!
Even though those words are plastered onto the bottle/dispenser, it lives up to it's advertisement.
What makes these products so good is for starters, their brand!
St.Ives is known to use as much organic materials as it can.
Here, they used the best and (my favourite) organic material, Green Tea!
I think I mentioned this before but Green Tea is great for getting rid of redness and acne!
It also helps with acne scarring as well!

St. Ives Green Tea Scrub

I was hoping this picture would be a little bit clearer but oh well!
I still haven't found that charger and I may never will.
This is what it looks like for the St.Ives Green Tea Scrub.
I know I know, it doesn't look appealing because to be honest it looks like mashed up boogers or something.
However that's besides the point! Really!
It is embedded with Green Tea extracts and it also has Salicylic Acid.
Salicylic Acid is the common ingredient in fighting acne!
This product is also Hypoallergenic, Oil Free and Non-Comedogenic!
(Won't cause allergies and won't clog pores!)
Whenever I use it, I feel like a new person because my face is so fresh and clean!
It also opens up my pores which allows for better cleaning!
This scrub is an exfoliating scrub so be careful when you use this!
I only exfoliate at least two-three times a month because it is important to let your skin shed naturally!
Another bonus about this product is that it's scent is perfect!
It has the nicest mild scent of Green Tea!

St. Ives Green Tea Cleanser

This product is very liquidy and has a nice sort of transparent green tinge to it!
It's scent is incredible. When it's fused with the Green Tea Scrub it just smells so heavenly!
To me this product is hands down the best!
I remember the first time I tried it I had at least three pimples on my face, I used it one night and the next day the pimples were gone or they shrunk AND the redness disappeared allowing the pimples not to be so noticeable!
It is the exact same thing as the scrub! Hypoallergenic, Oil Free and Non-Comedogenic.
This however does not have Salicyclic Acid in it and if you're looking for stronger approaches then I advise you to buy the scrub along with the cleanser!
The cleanser for me works perfectly fine because the source of my pimples is from stress and I'm rarely ever stressed! (Just a little bit of freaking out).

Using these two together I found was the best way for my face to clear out quickly!
Even the smallest acne that didn't sprout out yet from my face is disappearing!
Including some of my acne scars!
Would I purchase another bottle of these?
Well, considering that this is my second time buying the cleanser YES!
And that it's my first time using the scrub and it makes me feel so clean, YES!
Besides Tea Tree Oil, I have found the next best thing to treat acne/redness!

I hope you guys enjoyed this review!
Let me know what you lovelies think :)!
