Make Up Powder Fix!

Over the weekend while I was getting ready I had the greatest luck ever... because this happened.
As I was getting ready I grabbed my bronzer and it slipped from my hands and fell to the ground. It shattered and I was so devastated. At first I was thinking of leaving it like this but then I remember there is a method to fix broken powder and I just want to share with all of you lovelies who don't know this wonderful method. I found this method through a friend who saw the video from Michelle Phan! Here is the link
You will need...
-Your broken powder
-Spoon
-Knife(I'm using a plastic palette knife)
-Piece of napkin
-Rubbing Alcohol
-Plastic wrap.

You wanna use the plastic wrap to wrap around the powder's case.
This will prevent any loose powders from spilling and will save you the hassle of cleaning up.

I decided to film for the rest of the steps!
Song: Growing Up - Fracture Design
After you have wrapped your powder around plastic get your spoon and start breaking your powder even more.
After you think you've done enough mashing, unravel the plastic.
Pour enough alcohol to the mashed up powder. Make sure you put enough.
Mix it gently with your knife(I'm using a plastic palette knife).
When you get the nice thick consistency start smoothing it out.
When you're finished cover it with a napkin.
Place in the fridge to help it harden.

Hope you all enjoyed this post =)!
I'll post the finished results tomorrow!

5 Basic Make Up Tips

A couple weeks ago I was on Pinterest just browsing through when I came across a pin called "30 Make Up Tips That Most People Don't Know About." Out of curiosity to see which ones would surprise me I decided to check it out. Most of the Make Up tips were already second nature to me, however there were 5 Make Up tips that I never really thought of to be so basic and easy!
(Note: The pictures that I have used in this post aren't mine!)

1) Prevent your eyeliner/tight lining from smearing/smudging at the bottom of your eyelid!
Applying your pressed powder or settling powder underneath of your bottom eyelid will prevent your eyeliner/tightlining from smearing/smudging. I myself have this problem because I don't use any waterproof cosmetics. Even when I do I still find myself having little bits of black smudges from my eyeliner.
Applying a pressed powder will prevent your eyeliner from smearing and make it stay in place!

2) Make your eyes look bigger!
We always strive to make our eyes look bigger. Whether if its getting enough sleep, making our liquid eyeliner/gel liners to be bold or by simply applying white eyeliner to the bottom of our eyelids! Something so simple can allow us to achieve one of our make up goals! I also even noticed when I was in the stage of wearing black liner, my eyes would definitely look weird and smaller. Don't believe me? Here's a picture!
You can definitely see the differences!
(If you still don't see it, try it for yourself!)

3) Concealing Dark Circles
Who really has time to sleep now a days? With our busy schedules of school, work and trying to maintain our social life sleep doesn't seem to fit in everyone's schedule. Well mine of course. Lately I have been sleeping really late and it's causing my designer eye-bags to become more expensive and definitely a lot darker. I always thought of just sweeping my concealer under my eye until I realize I was doing it totally wrong. Applying a lighter shade on the creases of those eyebags minimizes the size of your eyebags and applying the right shade of concealer on the rest of the eyebags cancels out the dark circles from your eyebags!
I definitely saw a difference since sometimes I don't always use this technique!

4) Make Your Eyelashes Pop More!
As an amateur make up lover I believe your eyelashes are the best attribute when it comes to make up. No matter what mascara you use it's worthless unless you have a good eyelash curler. If you don't you can turn that no good eyelash curler into something great! How? Easy, just heat your eyelash curler! You can heat it with your straightener or hair dryer which ever you prefer. Some people don't like this method but it definitely works. Although the issue of having something hot near your eyes is quite alarming you're just going to have to be cautious. I mean beauty is somewhat painful? I like to use the straightener because that provides direct heat. Heat allows your eyelashes to bend and curl more!

5) DIY Tinted Moisturizer
Instead of buying another cosmetic product such as BB cream or CC cream why not make your own? You'll save your wallet from crying and you'll be able to use that foundation that you've spent on! Not only that but you'll save your face from drying out. I know I have that problem. Ever since I was born I had a problem with my skin, it would get extremely dry and I would break out into my eczema. However with proper moisturizing and plenty glasses of water I managed to tame it. Anyways this DIY is very easy. What you'll need is your favourite moisturizer, your choice of foundation/concealer and your method of blending. You want somewhat of an equal amount of the foundation and moisturizer and you're going to want to mix it together. Once you got the right amount of your choice apply it on your face and especially on the driest parts! It works well =)!
(tip: you might want to moisturize your face before this too, just to add a bit more of protection!)

I hope you guys enjoyed Make Up Tuesdays!
Hope this was helpful and informative!
See you guys on Video Wednesdays~

MATCH PERFECTION CONCEALER & HIGHLIGHTER - RIMMEL LONDON REVIEW

230 Fair/Light
This purchase was also half impulsive half want.
It costed $6
I bought the shade 230 Fair/Light.
This shade is a bit lighter than my actual skin and I picked it for that reason.
I use this product under my eyes.
Specifically on the creases which is the darkest part of my designer eye bags.
When you're trying to conceal those dark circles you want to go as light as you can and I believe this product by Rimmel London was perfect for me.
On the website it states it comes in 4 shades however I believe they released a few more!
(considering I didn't find my shade on their website!)

The best part about this product is that it is a 2 in 1!
It's a concealer and a highlighter!
Highlighters tend to be a bit lighter which brightens up some features on your face.
However because I personally don't highlight I don't put it on my face other than under my eyes.
This is why it covers my dark circles on my eyes really well and gives them life!
Perhaps one day when I feel like I have a lot of time I will highlight.
I mostly use my Banana Powder to highlight.
The consistency is very rich and creamy so I have to be careful on how much I put on.
For me, it doesn't really blend well, I find myself having to go buff it out with my flawless concealer brush AND then use my ring finger to smooth it countless times.
Despite that whole process it does a good job on brightening and covering.
Another down side of this product is it's packaging.
Since the consistency is very thick I try to not use a lot, however it is very hard when trying to squeeze it out of it's bottle.
I personally like it because it does a really good job on brightening my dark circles and I guess I don't really mind having to buff/blend the product onto my skin.
Would I purchase another?
Perhaps, not a definite yes or no.
I kinda feel indifferent about it because it does a lot of good things but it also hits some of my no no's on my make up list.

I hope you lovelies enjoyed Make Up Tuesday!
Another short review =)!
I recently just started using this product and I thought, why not do a review!
Apologies that this is a late post. My internet was acting out and I was out the whole day!
I'll see you lovelies on Video Wednesdays!

FIT ME CONCEALER 20 SAND: MAYBELLINE REVIEW

Because of my neglect to post more I decided to do this review early!

FIT ME CONCEALER 20 SAND - MAYBELLINE
First off this purchase was half impulsive and half want.
I was really skeptical about this product because it's from the FIT ME line by Maybelline.
Maybelline makes great cosmetics but the FIT ME never really worked well with my skin for many reasons.
1) It broke me out
2) It dried my face out
3) It barely blended well with my skin
HOWEVER there ARE redemptions and this product was it for the FIT ME line!

What I really adore about this product is that it blends REALLY well on my face!
It does it's job by covering all my dark circles under my eyes and conceal the reddness on my eyelids.
The applicator is also very handy since there is no squeezing or having to get your own brush and dig your concealer out of it's container like I do with my MAC concealer!
The size of the FIT ME concealer is also very reasonable, easy to carry in a small purse!
I haven't found anything I dislike about the product... YET! So hooray!

I just apply the product underneath my eyes to conceal those eyebags and dark circles.
I also apply it on my eyelids because it's very red around there!
I use a small brush to blend it out and then my ring finger to smooth it out!

Well I told you this was a really short review! I hope you guys enjoyed this =)!

Mini Purchase!

I'm sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately. As you know I was in exam mode however I am completely done with this semester so technically my summer officially starts now! (Until summer semester starts). Anyways with all this free time I'm going to catch up on some blogging and of course catch up on all the fun my friends and I had to miss because of school! Hazah!
A week ago I went to my local market and decided to give into my impulsive need to purchase things. Here are the few goodies I picked up. It's nothing big really!
After reading and hearing a bunch of reviews/raves about this product I decided to give it a try!
Although I was a bit skeptical on this product because of the price and it was from the Fit Me collection
But now I absolutely adore this product, it's now in my daily make-up routine!
I definitely will do a review on this one!

Again this one another product that was being raved about and I thought why not.
I haven't actually tried this yet, but I'm excited to!
I always like Rimmel London products. It's always so cheap and the quality is there!

I ran out of my Nivea toner that I use in the morning so I thought maybe to try something new.
I always hear great things about Garnier, mostly because they're so pro-organic and earth friendly!
Natural things are good for your body, so why not?
I have used this toner and I'll include it in a review :)!

I needed to restock on my razors!
Ever since my brother's girlfriend told me to use men's razors I have loved it!
They're less expensive and the Hydro 5 razor blades doesn't give me razor burns!
Even though hydro is in the name, it does moisturize and keep my legs smooth!
Definitely go pick this up instead of Venus or Intuition!
I didn't buy that much because I didn't see anything worth buying mostly because I wasn't interested and I wanted to save my money for something else :)!
Hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know what you guys thought :D!
Cheerio my lovelies~

St.Ives Green Tea Duo REVIEW!

I feel really bad in doing this review first rather than following the order of the list I gave in my Liebster Award post. It's just I seriously won't be able to go on my blog until Wednesday and I just want to be able to give something before I become MIA'ing again! Besides I really want to go into full detail for "How To Make An Outfit Stylish" and "Confidence!" posts.
I thought I'd take a break from writing my English research paper! I'm actually doing really well on progress considering I'm 637 words out of 1500! I decided instead of looking at how many words I need, I look at how many words I accomplished! I just had this weird insight or epiphany that if you want life to get better you got to start acting better.
Anyways on-wards to the review :)!

Left: St. Ives Green Tea Cleanser
Right: St.Ives Green Tea Scrub

I like to call this the ultimate duo in fighting acne and controlling break outs!
Even though those words are plastered onto the bottle/dispenser, it lives up to it's advertisement.
What makes these products so good is for starters, their brand!
St.Ives is known to use as much organic materials as it can.
Here, they used the best and (my favourite) organic material, Green Tea!
I think I mentioned this before but Green Tea is great for getting rid of redness and acne!
It also helps with acne scarring as well!

St. Ives Green Tea Scrub

I was hoping this picture would be a little bit clearer but oh well!
I still haven't found that charger and I may never will.
This is what it looks like for the St.Ives Green Tea Scrub.
I know I know, it doesn't look appealing because to be honest it looks like mashed up boogers or something.
However that's besides the point! Really!
It is embedded with Green Tea extracts and it also has Salicylic Acid.
Salicylic Acid is the common ingredient in fighting acne!
This product is also Hypoallergenic, Oil Free and Non-Comedogenic!
(Won't cause allergies and won't clog pores!)
Whenever I use it, I feel like a new person because my face is so fresh and clean!
It also opens up my pores which allows for better cleaning!
This scrub is an exfoliating scrub so be careful when you use this!
I only exfoliate at least two-three times a month because it is important to let your skin shed naturally!
Another bonus about this product is that it's scent is perfect!
It has the nicest mild scent of Green Tea!

St. Ives Green Tea Cleanser

This product is very liquidy and has a nice sort of transparent green tinge to it!
It's scent is incredible. When it's fused with the Green Tea Scrub it just smells so heavenly!
To me this product is hands down the best!
I remember the first time I tried it I had at least three pimples on my face, I used it one night and the next day the pimples were gone or they shrunk AND the redness disappeared allowing the pimples not to be so noticeable!
It is the exact same thing as the scrub! Hypoallergenic, Oil Free and Non-Comedogenic.
This however does not have Salicyclic Acid in it and if you're looking for stronger approaches then I advise you to buy the scrub along with the cleanser!
The cleanser for me works perfectly fine because the source of my pimples is from stress and I'm rarely ever stressed! (Just a little bit of freaking out).

Using these two together I found was the best way for my face to clear out quickly!
Even the smallest acne that didn't sprout out yet from my face is disappearing!
Including some of my acne scars!
Would I purchase another bottle of these?
Well, considering that this is my second time buying the cleanser YES!
And that it's my first time using the scrub and it makes me feel so clean, YES!
Besides Tea Tree Oil, I have found the next best thing to treat acne/redness!

I hope you guys enjoyed this review!
Let me know what you lovelies think :)!

LATE HAUL!

I know I'm so bad at keeping track on what I need to post but this is yet another late post! I said you guys can expect a "purchase" post or what some people call it: a haul! This haul contains purchases from last week of January to March 1st! Most of my items that I bought are dedicated to the upcoming warm seasons such as Spring and Summer! So brace yourself, this post is quite long :)!

SHOES
Chunky Strap Platform Sandals - Zara $60
I know they're a bit dirty at the top because I wore them on Saturday at a dinner with my girl friends.
We walked on chalky pavement to burn our food babies LOL.
I'm absolutely in love with these chunky sandals.
I saw a similar pair at Little Burgundy and it was $100.
This was a long time ago and since then I was trying to find a similar style and this one shows up!
The thing that I absolutely love about these are the straps!
I have been collecting chunky shoes and I'm going to admit my ankle gives in sometimes.
The wedges are so hollow inside that it can make anyone wobble and stumble.
The straps on these sandals prevent the wobbling and flinches of falling!
(Although I did trip on some rocks which could ultimately explain the chalk on the tip of the sandal)

Brown Slip Ons - H&M $3
Yeah the red stickers are the mark down price!
I hate when H&M does that, it's so hard to peel it off.
You guys can probably see the strings wrapped around my ankles.
This just secures my foot in the slip ons because they're actually one size up.
I just had to get them.
What I did was cut up one of my cat's cradle string and just use it for my ankles!
These will be perfect to wear in the Spring and Summer!

Chunky Shiny Heel Wedges - H&M $3
Can you guys believe the price?! This was originally $50!!
Again these heels are one size up but I know I'm probably going to wear thick socks with these or even layer some of my tights!
The size difference isn't that noticeable, that's mainly why I got it.
Oh and I've been eyeing it every time I go to H&M!
I absolutely adore the look and the glossy wedge heel because it gives my outfit some personality

TOPS
Sunflower Turtle Neck Crop Top - Urban Behaviour $5
I am a complete sucker for any sunflower or daisy printed things.
When I saw this top that my friend, Austin showed me I absolutely had to get it.
The fact that it's a turtle neck too was a bonus!
I'm a little crazy about turtle necks. I mean who isn't?
They keep your neck freaking warm and it kind of gives off the "classy" or "mature" look.
This top is so ideal to wear in the spring and summer!
The colour of the sunflower will compliment the weather and since it's sleeveless it'll keep me cool!

ACCESSORIES
Black Retro Cat Eyed Sunnies - XXI $8
Maroon Cat Eyed Sunnies - H&M $7
Gold Lace Choker - XXI $10
I saw these sunnies at H&M and seriously I couldn't stop thinking about them.
I know I have been saying that a lot but it's so damn true!
Whenever I see something and I say "damn I need to get that," I end up getting it.
To me it makes my face look a little bit slimmer LOL(sigh).
What's awesome about these sunglasses is that they have gold tips at the end!
I couldn't take a picture, for that I apologize!
Ah yes, you guys probably already know these sunnies!
It's linked in my February Favourites down below if you scroll down!
I bought these the day after I got my maroon sunnies... HAHA!
Call me a shop-a-holic!

You know how they say that you're more likely to get something if someone else agrees with you?
This is the case for this necklace.
I still remember my reaction when I saw this.
I was in love with it but I was skeptical about the price.
However persuaded by the opinion from my friend, Michelle I decided to get it.
And I'm glad I got it because I was in need of a new necklace!
I purchased this with the retro sunnies!

White Crackled Stone Earrings - Ardene's $3
Diamond Shape Striped Patterned Earrings - Ardene's $3
Matte Gold Patterned Hoops - H&M $1
What a deal.
I honestly don't know what to call these earrings so I'm just labeling on their appearance.
I'm sure they have specific names but I honestly don't know.
I'm in love with these earrings, mostly because they were on sale LOL.
But also they're earrings I can wear when I do an up-do hairstyle!

Left: Different Patterned/Texture Gold Bangles $3
Right: Stretchy Gold Bracelets - H&M $2
I have gone back to wearing my arm candy and when I saw these I thought it would look great in my collection!
Not to mention their prices were a must have.
I guess I only buy for the price..? LOL
But really, these bracelets are cute and very easy to pair with an outfit!

COSMETICS
I went a little too happy on the nail-polish purchasing!
From left to right (Revlon) $4-5 each
020 - Pure Pearl
933 - Chameleon
220 - Enchanting
909 - Sheer Petal
917 - Plum Seduction
705 - Gray Suede
280 - Bubbly
410 - Dreamer
161 - Teak Rose
As you can tell majority of these colours are light and I pretty much bought them for the upcoming spring and summer!
The darker colours are the ones I'll be wearing when I'm feeling "meh" about certain days!

Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion (My mom gave it to me actually)
L'OREAL - Voluminous Mascara $7
Urban Decay - Make Up Setting Spray in Oil Control $15
Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 $17
Crest 3D White Toothpaste $3
Wet & Wild - Walking on Eggshells Trio Eyeshadow $4
Most of these items were necessities
I'm back on that 3D teeth whitening because I just want my teeth to be whiter LOL.
This has been my 2nd bottle of Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer and I really enjoy it.
It's very nice and light on the skin.

Maybelline 915 - Blushing Beige
I really think this colour would look awesome when the sun is out.
Lately over here the weather has been gloomy and I'm not able to whip out this nice colour.
Blushing Beige is a nice neutral lip colour.
It'll be awesome to wear with mostly my spring outfits!

Wet & Wild - Walking on Eggshells
I thought I would do a close up of the eyeshadow trio I got!
I have a great feeling that I'm going to be wearing this every day in spring.
The colours are not that harsh! It has the perfect light colour to it!
It's also very simple and easy to follow!
I think this will be the first eyeshadow trio(quad, duo etc) that I'll be using each colour that is recommended for which eye part!
I'll definitely do a make up look with this eyeshadow trio before Spring comes along!

There happens to be one more thing that I bought but I won't show that because I'm saving it for my upcoming room tour :)! As of now my room is completed until I go to IKEA to purchase my dresser! I might hold off with the room tour until I get that dresser but I might not!

I hope you guys enjoyed this really long post and I would love to hear about what you thought :)!
Till next time lovelies~

REVIEW ON L'OREAL TRUE MATCH FOUNDATION

As promised here is the L'OREAL True Match Foundation Review!
L'OREAL True Match in C3 - $15-17
I heard a lot of great things about this foundation and after my brother's girlfriend recommending me to buy this foundation I just had to get my hands on it.
I also wanted a "cheap" foundation to wear on semi-special occasions.
The great thing about this product is for starters is how well it blends on your skin.
It sits really well and honestly I didn't feel it when I was blending it across my whole face.
This is really important to me because I absolutely hate feeling foundation on my face.
I don't like the cakey feeling!
Some foundations that I tried in the past were too heavy and it felt like I was wearing a mask.
The consistency of L'OREAL true match isn't too watery or thick.
I guess that's what makes it very easy to blend and how light it feels on my skin.
Another bonus of the product is that it has SPF in it!
This is extremely important as it provides protection from UV rays!
(Ain't nobody got time for wrinkles)
The shape of the bottle is a decent size!
This foundation also sticks well to the face!
When I rubbed my fingers or tissue on my face the product barely showed!
It's not as big as my other foundations so its travelling friendly!
Pretty much can stick it in any purse and apply it on the go!
I just apply it all over my face and then blend it on a brush.
I just pour the foundation on the back of my hand and use my ring finger to apply it everywhere.
I use the e.l.f Powder Brush to blend the foundation all over my face.
The only thing I didn't like about this product was the amount I was using.
It might have been I wasn't using enough but I found myself reapplying the foundation to some places it missed to cover up some red areas or acne.
This is the final face!(LOL)
As for my hair I chose to stick with a high curled pony tail!
Would I buy another bottle of this foundation?
Absolutely!!
If you guys don't know which foundation to try and it's your first time buying and you're on a budget I would definitely recommend this!

Hope you guys enjoyed this review!
Let me know what you guys think about L'OREAL True Match Foundation!

Enchanted Dreamer (LOOK OF THE DAY)

LOOK OF THE DAY!
2/28/14
Make Up
It was such a beautiful day I thought I'd go easy on the make up and focus more on hair!
My fantastic duo!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewinder - Neutralizer
Mac Studio Finish Concealer - NW 25
This is where I apply the Maybelline Instant Age Rewinder!
I applied it under my eyes to minimize and brighten up the dark circles!
You always want a lighter concealer under your eyes.
I then run the concealer stick down the bridge of my nose to give it dimension.
(I wasn't blessed with a bridge nose so I guess this compensates LOL).
For the Mac Studio Finish Concealer I just apply it under my eye bags for a better cover.
I also put it under my eyebrows, on the brow bone to make my eyebrows a little bit cleaner.
Finally I apply it on the redness of my face and pimples to hide them ;A;!
I blend with my ring fingers because they have less pressure compared to your other fingers.
This is important because your eyes are sensitive and you can cause an increase in wrinkles!
Rimmel London Bronzer in Sun Light!
You guys can probably tell I love this bronzer as I hit pan!
I just apply this on the hollows of my cheeks to make my face slimmer ^_^
I also put it on both sides of the mark I drew down my nose from the Maybelline Concealer
because
1) It makes my nose look slimmer
2) Defines the "bridge" I created LOL.
Then I apply it to my forehead just a bit to create dimensions
I use these brushes to apply bronzer
e.l.f Angle Blush Brush
(Hollow of Cheeks and forehead)
e.l.f Contour Brush
(Nose and Hollow of Cheeks)

Mac Sheer Pressed Powder - NC40
This is just to lock everything together and settle it neatly!
I love this press powder.
(Yeah I don't know how that dent got there to be honest ;A;)
e.l.f Powder Brush
(all around my face)
e.l.f Flawless Concealer Brush
(to reach places that are sensitive or hard to get[around nose, eyes, around lips])
Eye-Wear!
The black gel two end mascara is by e.l.f
(it used to be clear. I use it for setting my eyebrows)
Annabelle White Pencil Eyeliner
(I use this on the bottom waterline and I highlight the inner corners of my eyes)
And finally blushing!
This also happens to be my favourite blush since you know I hit pan!
It's Maybelline - Fit Me in Medium Coral.
I have to say this is probably the only product I like about the Fit Me collection.
The foundation from Fit Me broke me out completely!!
I would not recommend getting this and I rarely get pimples popping up.
(I'll add this to my foundation review)

Hair
Lazy Waves
I call this because the size of the hair I was curling on my wand was inconsistent.
It would be small or big.
Some would be curlier than others some wouldn't.
I just thought this hair gave a natural vibe to it and its super quick to do!
I didn't put any hairspray because I didn't really care if the waves lasted or not!
Hence, Lazy Waves!

Nails
Revlon 410 - Dreamer
The weather motivated me to paint my nails.
I chose this nice baby blue to compliment the weather.
I love how its so bright and that I only needed to use two coats to get the solid colour!
Revlon 220 - Enchanting
I painted my toes this colour.
I thought it worked well with the baby blue I painted on my nails.
I know my toes are hideous.
This is why I paint them to make them less disturbing LOL.
I just love how the purple isn't overwhelming nor underwhelming.
It's a great shade of purple

Hope you lovelies enjoyed this<3
The upcoming post is what I wore :)
